Ever since I was 13 years old I have been addicted to the sport of kayaking. I have been extremely grateful for the fact that kayaking has taking me around the world and back.

 

My athletics have brought me to the world stage, where I have competed against many of the best athletes in my sport. I humbly can say I have spent plenty of time on the podium, as well as taken my share of loses as well, though I continue to learn and grow every time I compete both against fellow athletes and myself.

Teaching has always been a part of my life, as I try to share my knowledge and experience as I know that a rising tide lifts all boats. I have taught a variety of individuals and coached many top young athletes over the past decade.

 

I have also been fortunate enough to be a part of several big productions shoot, media exposures and large scale events. I am grateful for all my partnerships and collaborations with top brands including GoPro, Jackson Kayak GMC, Fat Tire Beer, & Adidas, just to name a few.

I became a father for the first time 7 years ago, and since have transitioned from focusing solely of the search for adrenaline to a wider range of adventures that are more family focused as we spend 6-10 months of the year traveling around North American in our 30ft trailer. 

​

Philanthropy is also a big passion of mine as I feel I have been given so many incredible opportunities that I feel the need to give back as much as possible. I have donated thousands of dollars personally as well as working with many non profits to help out with boots on the ground.

Most recently I have also started my own podcast called 'The Art of Awesome' as I continue the search for the secret sauce to success. My focus is to learn from top performers in their own field and share their decades on knowledge and nuggets of gold.
